Cosmetic changes aside, the new Captiva also has a new heart. So out goes the 2-litre mill in the outgoing model. Under the hood now is a 2.2-litre Common Rail Direct Injection TCDi engine that pumps out 186.5 PS of power @ 3,800 rpm and 424 Nm of torque @ 2000 rpm and is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission . The Captiva will be available in a single trim, LTZ, and priced at an expected Rs. 22 lakhs, ex-showroom Delhi. Sporting a meatier grille that extends from the top of the hood to the base of the bumper, the new Captiva is a far better looking SUV than its predecessor.  The Captiva comes with all-black interiors with added convenience features namely Cruise Control, Dual Row Heating, ventilation and air-conditioning system, Electric Parking Brake, Rain Sensing wipers and electric sunroof. A standard Chevrolet 3 year/1,00,000 kms warranty will be on offer.

Facelifted Chevrolet Tavera will be available in BSIV version as well

Launching the BSIV version of the Tavera Neo3 will now make it available in BSIV compliant cities. It now comes with twin-port front grille, bigger emblems front and back, larger clear-lens headlamps with integrated indicator lamps. The four-cylinder, 2.0 litre TCDi diesel engine pumps out 106.8 PS of power @ 4,000 rpm and 263.7 Nm of torque @ 2,500 rpm, BSIV version and would also be available in a 2.5 litre turbocharged BS3 engine option.
