After months of speculation and some behind-the-scene spy pictures it has been confirmed that the American motorcycle maker will feature Harley-Davidson Project LiveWire, the company’s first electric motorcycle, in Marvel’s latest superhero movie Avengers: Age of Ultron.

This announcement was officially made during the recently held Comic-Con, the international comic convention held at San Diego. Marvel and Harley-Davidson have confirmed that in the next edition of the Avenger blockbuster series one of the key characters - Natasha Romanoff (a.k.a. Black Widow) which is played by Scarlett Johansson, will be seen riding the Harley-Davidson Project LiveWire electric bike in an action sequence along with Captain America.

Harley-Davidson and Marvel comics have a long association and  the American iconic motorcycles have appeared in a number of Marvel movies and television shows over the last several years. In recent times the Harley-Davidson Street 750 was featured in another Marvel film - Captain America: The Winter Soldier, which released earlier this year.

The Harley-Davidson Project LiveWire has been developed by the US bike maker as a design study and to get insight into rider expectations of an electric Harley-Davidson motorcycle. The company is also taking Harley-Davidson Project LiveWire to consumers across the US. In fact, fans present at the 2014 Comic-Con in San Diego got a chance to test ride the electric bike and provide feedback to help shape the future of Harley-Davidson’s first-ever electric motorcycle.
