The Korean carmaker arranged a demonstration at a test track in California to show what wonders its new autonomous car - the 2015 Hyundai Genesis could do. This video shows a convoy of 2015 Genesis sedans flaunting off its self-driving technology.
The convoy of 2015 Hyundai Genesis sedans are seen showcasing features such as advanced smart cruise control, blind spot detection, auto emergency braking and lane assist system. The video begins with six stunt drivers setting the advanced smart cruise control with the automatic emergency braking.
A trailer is seen following the convoy and then moving in parallel with each car. The stunt driver from each car jumps onto the trailer leaving the car to drive all on its own. The lead driver of the convoy, however, sits blind-folded in the car with his arms folded and lets his 2015 Genesis operate all by itself.
The trailer takes the lead ahead of all the cars and applies brakes suddenly. The video shows the lead car apply emergency automatic brakes immediately to avoid collision with the trailer, while all the other cars in the convoy follow suit to avoid colliding with the immediate car ahead of it.
