To kick-start its pre-owned car business in India, Mercedes inaugurated 12 new ‘Mercedes-Benz Certified’ outlets in India. Aside from bringing in affordable luxury cars like the A-Class, B-Class and GLA-Class to Indian shore, Mercedes takes one more step in making their models within reach for a lot of new customers.
Eberhard Kern, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, commented on the ocassion, “There has been an increased demand for the pre-owned Mercedes-Benz products due to their superior build quality, tested reliability, and impeccable craftsmanship, leading to their high re-sale value. Mercedes-Benz enjoys a strong equity in the market and with ‘Mercedes-Benz Certified’ we will cater to this growing demand and delight the customers with excellence.”
The cars sold on these Mercedes-Benz Certified outlets will be based on certain very stringent 124 point quality checks that the company will perform on the car. Every car at will have to be under five years old, run less than 1,00,000km, have no accident history and should not have more than two owners, for it to be sold at the certified outlet.
All sales consultants at the Mercedes-Benz Certified stores will use an ipad that will be installed with their in-house app that is an interactive tool for an easy and comfortable sales experience. Aside from this, the company will also offer hassle free documentation and easy finance schemes.
The 12 new ‘Mercedes-Benz Certified’ outlets are: Shaman Wheels, Auto Hangar (Mumbai), Sundaram Motors, Akshaya Motors (Bangalore), B.U. Bhandari (Pune), Panjab Motors (Mohali), T&T Motors (West Delhi), T&T Motors (Mathura Road), Joshi Autozone (Chandigarh), Rajasree Motors (Cochin), Transcar (Chennai), Adishwar Motors (Hyderabad).
