Mercedes-Benz S-Class Pullman patent images leaked

Mercedes-Benz may be considered as an ultimate fantasy of luxury and opulence on wheels by many. The German car marquee has decided to reinstate this belief of car enthusiasts with the launch of its new car model - the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Pullman. The carmaker plans to expand its Mercedes-Benz S-Class range, and the leaked patent images registered with the US Patent and Trademark office back in February 2013, simply imply the same.

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class Pullman, a car that has been made as an extension of the S-Class range since 1965, will stretch 6.4 metres in length to bag the distinction of being the largest regular production sedan in the world. In comparison, the Rolls Royce Phantom Extended Wheelbase measures 6,092mm.  Mercedes speciality tuner, Brabus, has been put in charge to produce the Pullman, a complete departure of the high powered supercars they are used to building. The S-Class Pullman will have three rows of seats in the 2+2+2 layout in which the rear two rows will face each other. They will be separated from the front row through a partition window to allow discretion from the chauffer.

Reports suggest that Mercedes-Benz is also working on an armored variant which is expected to weigh around 5,300kg. The Mercedes-Benz S-Class Pullman though will come at a hefty price and is expected to become the most expensive production sedan in the world with a staggering price tag of about Rs 8 crore (exclusive of taxes and duties).

The Mercedes-Benz S-Class Pullman is expected to be equipped with a 4.6-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, while its armored variant is expected to get an AMG spec 5.5-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine or a 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged V12 powerplant.

The S-Class Pullman is expected to be introduced in 2015, but will be preceded by the Mercedes-Benz S-Class Maybach which is expected to be unveiled at the Guangzhou Motor Show in November.
