Mahindra & Mahindra has launched an iOS version of its smart app Blue Sense for its XUV500. The homegrown auto major had launched an android version of the same app in 2012 and also introduced the same across Windows and Android platform for the recently-launched new generation Mahindra Scorpio.
Speaking about the Blue Sense app, Rajan Wadhera, Chief Executive - Truck, Powertrain Division and Head - Mahindra Research Valley, said, "We are happy to announce the launch of the Mahindra's Blue Sense app for customers of our New Generation Scorpio across Windows and Android and on the iOS platform for XUV500 owners. The Mahindra Blue Sense app, designed by Mahindra's Electronics team, is in keeping with our philosophy to be at the forefront of providing an enriched customer experience in the product and technology domains. We are committed to introducing newer technologies in our vehicles towards creating better value for our customers."
The Mahindra Blue Sense app comes packed with several features which enable customers to connect with the vehicle using Bluetooth technology. With this app users can control features related to the infotainment system and climate control system using their smartphone. Other important vehicle information such as tyre pressure and fuel statistics can also be seen using this app. Additionally the Blue Sense app also provides alerts and warnings such as door open notification, service reminders and distance to empty details.
The android version of the Mahindra Blue Sense app had received a warm response from the XUV500 customers with over 24,000 customers downloading the same. The company, therefore, decided to develop the app for apple devices which can be downloaded from the Apple App Store.
