Mercedes-Benz partners with Buddh International Circuit

Will conduct an array of promotional activities centered around the debut of Indian Grand Prix

A  major force in the world of global motorsports since 1894, Mercedes-Benz has in a sense played an important role in shaping the way we watch the fast-paced sport today. Their high-performance cars and luxurious saloons are the dreams of many, and now as the official automotive partner of the first ever Indian Grand Prix the three pointed star is going flat out to bring the sport closer to fans in the country.


Commenting on the announcement of this special partnership Sameer Gaur, Managing Director & CEO, JPSI Sports said, “We are pleased to have Mercedes-Benz as the Official Partners for Buddh International Circuit. The Buddh International Circuit will act as a new platform to create a talent pool of next gen motorsports champions of India”. 


For starters, the German luxury car maker has quite clearly taken utmost advantage of its well networked dealerships across India, where ‘Pit Stops’ selling Indian Grand Prix tickets will be specially setup for F1 enthusiasts hoping to catch the action live at the Buddh Circuit in Delhi.

For those who have forever dreamed of driving some of the fastest machines from the Merc den, Mercedes-Benz India has organized its very own Performance Driving Academy, where motorsport junkies in the country can experience the thrill of actually driving these cars on the racing circuit through well-structured programs and the help of professional trainers .


For most of us, who are still too young to really bring home our very own Mercedes-Benz, the ‘Silver Star’ has organized an exclusive youth oriented programme, which it calls the ‘Mercedes-Benz Speed Date’.  Scheduled for the third week of October in Mumbai, this particular event will be a visual treat for the country’s petrolheads, as it will see the participation of over 100 Mercedes-Benz and AMG cars on the city’s streets. 

As a part of its ‘MTV Date with Speed’ college activation programme, Mercedes-Benz will also be organizing lifestyle parties across multiple cities at the hippest pubs.

Commenting on these unique Indian Formula One centric initiatives by the company, Mr. Debashis Mitra, Director, Sales & Marketing, Mercedes-Benz India said “Our activations across major metros and unique engagements like “MTV Date with Speed” and “Pit Stops” at our dealerships will create further excitement around Mercedes-Benz Motorsport amongst our young customers.”


As an Official Automobile Partner, Mercedes-Benz cars will also serve as the Official Safety car, Fast Intervention Vehicles and Race Control Cars in Motorsport event in the country.  And while its partnership with the Buddh International Circuit will prove to be a real boon to motorsports enthusiasts in India, its Mercedes-Benz customers, who will find yet another reason to grin about owning their very own.

MBIL customers will be the biggest benefactors of the Indian Grand Prix getting exclusive and special access to use Mercedes cars on the race track.
