Mercedes-Benz now has a new outlet in Raipur

Mercedes-Benz India is living up to its commitments of providing quality network to its customers across the country. The company has thus appointed Auto Hangar as its new dealer in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. Present at the inauguration were Eberhard Kern, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India alongwith Mohan Mariwala, Managing Director, Auto Hangar India Pvt Ltd.

Speaking on this occasion Kern says, “The inauguration of this facility in Raipur is part of our growth plan. Auto Hangar has been a long term partner of Mercedes-Benz and this dealership has been set up keeping in mind the growing luxury car market potential of the city and to cater to the increase in customers of the three pointed star in Raipur. We know this city has huge potential and we look forward to bringing fascination across our brand experiences to our discerning customers here.” 

A Mercedes dealership in Raipur draws attention to the fact that luxury car makers are now expanding aggressively into non-metro centres to grow their sales. Mercedes-Benz had opened up a car outlet in Rajkot and Vadodara in Gujarat in 2013 while Audi added non-metro cities such as Lucknow, Bhubaneswar and Karnal to its network.This can be foreseen as a logical step after the recent introduction of lower priced entry-level alternatives from these car makers. New products such as the Mercedes A- and B-class have brought the luxury marque closer to current Honda, Toyota and Skoda owners, and not just in tier one cities but even in markets where so far luxury cars had no hold.

The focus on top cities such as New Delhi and Mumbai, which used to contribute about 60 per cent of luxury car sales, is slowly shifting. The national capital and Mumbai now account for only 45 per cent of the combined sales volume of Audi, Mercedes Benz, BMW and Jaguar-Land Rover. 

Auto Hangar has been associated with Mercedes-Benz India for over 15 years and has multiple showrooms in Mumbai and Nagpur. The dealer’s new workshop in Raipur will undertake general repairs, and will also provide round the clock after sales service. The workshop has a team of 15 personnel who will address the customer requirements.
