New buses will run on the C.B.D to Bandra Railway Station route

Since laying the foundation stone for its bus building facility at its humongous Chakan Manufacturing Plant near Pune, Mercedes-Benz has been conducting trial runs of its city buses both within the state of Maharashtra and down South, well Karnataka to be precise.

Though there has been no official word from them on when their luxurious and semi-luxurious buses will be fully operational and doing their regular rounds, Mercedes-Benz has been shuttling its bus services on the some of the more busy bus routes in and around Maharashtra.

The latest addition to its city bus trial runs is one of the largest planned cities in the country, which is going through major infrastructural development due to its close proximity to the Navi Mumbai International Airport. The new buses will run on the C.B.D to Bandra Railway Station route. Under the leadership of Chandrakant Aagonde, Chairman, N.M.M.T Mercedes will offer its buses to Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport (N.M.M.T) for a trial period of one month to check technical stability and viability of the buses on city road conditions.

After receiving an overwhelming response from Fleet Operators on our 2 and 3 axle coaches, Mercedes is now looking forward to the introduction of its city buses in the company’s portfolio, and will be looking at satisfying the country’s need for comfortable yet cost effective public transport. So far, Mercedes-Benz has already conducted successful trial runs in Pune, Mumbai and Bangalore for its low entry and semi low floor buses.
