Back in the nineties almost all car enthusiasts aspired to own a Mercedes-Benz E-Class. So much was the craze for it that if someone said he wants to own a Merc someday, he/she was invariably referring to the E-Class. Though since then the market has opened up and people now do recognize other Mercedes models as well but the aspirational value has remained intact over the years. And even today, the E-Class is one of the highest selling luxury cars in the country. Coincidently though, this year also marks the 20th year of the E-Class in India.
To commemorate the occasion, Mercedes has launched the Wish Upon Star campaign for all its customers prospective owners and fans in general. This is an invite only campaign which has been launched in association with Creativeland Asia who were behind this app’s conceptualization. The recipients can only read the invite if they hold it up against the sky. And the campaign urges the audience to make a wish around the E-Class. You can do this at a dedicated microsite by Mercedes or at wishing booths across most dealerships. According to Merc, the most heartfelt and unique wishes stand a chance to be fulfilled.
