With four months to in 2015, Mercedes-Benz has 5 cars still to be launched to stay true to its 15 in ’15 strategy. On September 3, the Stuttgart-based car maker will take another step with the launch of the AMG C 63 S. This will be the fourth AMG offering to be launched this year and the 11th car in Mercedes-Benz’s 15 in ’15 strategy.

Mercedes-AMG first showcased the C 63 S at last year’s Paris Motor Show. It comes with a 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 powerplant that makes 510PS of peak power and 700Nm of peak torque. Thanks to these figures the C 63 S can touch the 100kmph marker from standstill in around 4 seconds and record a electronically limited top-speed of 250kmph.

The performance focused sibling of the C-Class gets a more aggressive design in sync with the AMG brand. Up front it gets a single slat grille at the centre of which is the large three-pointed star logo. And then of course, being an AMG it has to have massive air dams in the bumper. Adding to the overall design appeal are those neat looking blackened out AMG alloy wheels and a square chrome plated tail pipes. The sporty styling continues even on the inside with lots of Alcantara and carbon fibre bits and sports seats.

When the Mercedes will come to India C63 S AMG via the CBU route it will compete against the likes of the BMW M3. We expect the C63 S AMG to be launched at an eight digit figure.
