Mazda6 sedan to debut at Moscow Motor Show
Japanese car maker's second 'KODO design theme' model to make a world debut at this year's Moscow Motor Show

After featuring in the Mazda CX-5 SUV in 2011 at the LA Motor Show, the SKYACTIV technology will now be seen in the third-generation Mazda6, which will make a world debut at this year’s Moscow Motor Show. The model will be equipped with direct-injection SKYACTIV–G 2.0-litre petrol motor and a six-speed SKYACTIV-Drive automatic transmission. The car will also feature the KODO ‘Soul of Motion’ design philosophy as on the CX-5.
The Mazda CX-5 can put even economy-oriented and hybrid cars to shame. It’s Euro VI-compliant and the SKYACTIV technology helps cut emissions by 15 per cent – all this without compromising on driving pleasure. The engines have a compression ratio higher than a Formula 1 car’s, which will make the Mazda6 an engaging car to drive and the SKYACTIV transmission will make the car more responsive.

Mazda has always been known for its technological prowess. Its RX-8 is a huge guzzler but the Wankel engine made the luxury sports car a pleasure to drive, and changed the Japanese car maker’s fortunes.
With the SKYACTIV technology, Mazda has proven yet again that fun need not be compromised for better mileage and lower emissions. The Mazda6 will be the yardstick for the company’s cars to follow. Sadly, Mazda cars are still to make an India appearance.
