Maruti Suzuki To Begin Backwater Rally On June 16

The third round of the Maruti Suzuki FMSCI National Super League TSD Rally Championship 2016 will be held in Ooty and will have the participants cover a distance of over 650kms

After two successful rounds of the Uttarakhand Adventure Rally and the Deccan Rally, the Maruti Suzuki FMSCI National Super League TSD Rally Championship 2016 is back with the third round of the event. This round has been named as 'Backwater Rally' and will be flagged off on June 16. The rally will start from Ooty on Thursday and will conclude on June 19 in Kochi. 

The third round of the TSD rally championship will have participants covering over 650kms during the four-day event. The route will take the competitors through the picturesque beauty of nature. 

Speaking about the championship, Vinay Pant, Asst. Vice President, Marketing, Maruti Suzuki said, “The response to the initial two rounds of the Maruti Suzuki National Super League TSD Rally Championship has been very encouraging. The association with MS- NStsdRC rally has enabled us to reach newer destinations which were unexplored in our previous motorsport activities, starting with Uttarakhand, Pune and now Ooty. We foresee exciting times ahead, with a strong participation leading to another memorable experience.”

Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara in Action

In this beautiful landscape, the competition of the Maruti Suzuki FMSCI National Super League TSD Rally Championship 2016 has reached to the next level where Karthick Maruthi and S Sankar Anand have been closely claiming the title for the earlier two rallies in their Vitara Brezza, followed by  Sachin Singh in his Swift and Jagmeet Gill in the Vitara Brezza.

The Maruti Suzuki FMSCI National Super League TSD Rally Championship 2016 is open to any four-wheeler model and make. The cars do not need any sort of customisation to take part in the event. These rallies are based in the format of Time-Speed-Distance (TSD) which tests the skill of the driver and navigator. It also tests the patience and perseverance of the team to work unanimously to achieve the desired target timing. 

These events have been especially designed for young entrepreneurs who also have to zing for motorsport in them. The Maruti Suzuki FMSCI National Super League TSD Rally Championship 2016 comprises of six rallies in all that are held across the country. After the Backwater Rally, the next rounds to be held in the championship are the Mughal Rally in Srinagar, Rally of Gujarat, and the last rally being organised in Arunachal Pradesh.
