Maruti Suzuki has decided to keep the Ertiga Feliz and Swift DZire Regal special edition models on sale for now to boost sales in an otherwise slow car market

Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Feliz

Maruti Suzuki has decided to continue offering, at least for the time being, its latest range of special edition models consisting of the Ertiga Feliz and Swift DZire Regal. The Ertiga Feliz was introduced recently to mark the MPV's anniversary while the the Swift DZire Regal was brought in around the Honda Amaze's launch to take on the new sub-4-metre compact sedan.

Exterior styling cues that set the special edition Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Feliz apart include a silver-coloured grille, air dam, fog lamp housings, ORVMs, side and rear body graphics and a rear-spoiler. Interior extras for the Ertiga Feliz include new ‘Feliz’ branded seat upholstery and pillows, a steering wheel cover, floor mats, Ertiga-branded doorsill guards, a back pocket organiser and a digital display for the new reverse parking sensors.

The Maruti Suzuki Swift DZire Regal special edition distinguishes itself from regular variants of the Swift DZire compact sedan with its new serene blue colour option, a silver grille and silver fog lamp housings, chrome body-coloured electronically adjustable ORVMs, rear parking sensors, graphics on the rear chrome garnish, body graphics on either side and coloured mud flaps. Interior extras for the DZire Regal include art leather seat covers with pillows, stainless steel door sill guards, ‘Regal’ branded beige floor mats, a steering wheel cover and a complimentary air perfume.

Passenger car sales have been on the decline for a while now and sales dipped by a sharp 8.21 per cent in April 2013 compared to April 2012 sales. Special edition models of vehicles seek to freshen the appeal of a vehicle thereby helping boost sales, which is what Maruti is looking to achieve with the Ertiga Feliz as sales of the Ertiga have reduced since its launch in April 2012. Meanwhile, the Maruti Suzuki Swift DZire has gone on to become the second highest selling car in the country! And with the Swift DZire Regal, Maruti Suzuki is looking to garner all the attention away from its prime rival, the new Honda Amaze.

The Maruti Suzuki Ertiga Feliz is available in VXi and ZXi trim levels with prices pegged at Rs 8,23,740 (ex-showroom Mumbai) and Rs 9,14,674 (ex-showroom Mumbai) for the Ertiga Feliz VXi and Ertiga Feliz ZXi respectively. Meanwhile, the Maruti Suzuki Swift DZire Regal is available in VXi trim only and has been priced at Rs 6,79,692 (ex-showroom Mumbai).
