Mahindra Reva has announced its lineup for the upcoming 2014 Auto Expo, which will include the Formula E car, a concept electric sports car, an updated version of the e2o and more. With the Formula E car, Mahindra will be participating in the FIA Formula E Championship that is set to commence in September 2014 and it will be the only Indian team to join the newly introduced zero emission racing series. The all-electric race series will include 10 races in the first season in city-centre locations around the world including, London, Beijing and Los Angeles. According to Mahindra its main intention of participating in the Formula E series is to carry forward the expertise and technological knowhow from the electric racing cars to its road cars.
The stall will also feature an all-new electric sports car, which will be unveiled for the first time at the 2014 Auto Expo. Also a new variant of the e2o and an electric version of Mahindra's Verito sedan will be showcased for the first time. The new e2o variant has been equipped with a new charging system, which the manufacturer claims has reduced charging time and bookings for the new offering will commence immediately post the Expo. An electric version of the light commercial vehicle (LCV), Maxximo, will be displayed at the show and according to Mahindra the electric variant of the LCV will be on sale by the end of 2014.
