Mahindra Quanto Weekend Escape heads to Sula Vineyards
Mahindra Quanto owners recently took a break from their monotonous routine to participate in the M&M ‘Quanto Weekend Escape’. Held between July 13 and 14, 2013, the two-day TSD (Time, Speed, Distance) rally to the Sula Vineyards in Nasik and back saw participation from enthusiastic Quanto owners who enjoyed every bit of the 240km route.
For the participants, the event made for a perfect weekend outing with overcast weather and lush green landscape. The rally was flagged off at 9:30am from Mahindra Towers on July 13, 2013, at Kandivali. Before the convoy reached Sula Vineyards they passed through Wada, Jawahar and Gimare where the drivers encountered perfectly laid highways and B-roads. Of course, the drivers had to navigate some rough patches as well with the magnificent mountains, Kasara Ghats and dams in the backdrop. After a long journey the participants checked in to Beyond Resort at Sula Vineyards for the night, with some exquisite wine and entertainment to ensure a delightful evening.
They enjoyed the quiet, quaint and cool evening in Nasik, walked through the vineyards, learned about wine making and, of course, tasted the choicest varieties of the drink. A prize distribution ceremony was held the following day, with several being declared for the TSD (time, speed, distance) rally and driving skills tests.
Vivek Nayer, Chief marketing Officer, Automotive Sector says, “We were delighted to host the first edition of the ‘Quanto Weekend Escape’, trailing the Vineyard route to Nasik. The convoy of vehicles passed through some of the most picturesque and pristine locations and I am sure every participant enjoyed it.
“The weekend escape provides our customers an opportunity to be a part of an adventurous TSD rally and make the most of their weekends. Events like this weekend escape, reinforce the versatility and uniqueness of the Quanto compact SUV which enables an active and fun lifestyle for its owners.”
