Mahindra Navistar Automotives Ltd (MNAL) is aiming to boost up current production of trucks to 50,000 per year in the medium term, a top company official said today.
"We are planning to produce 50,000 trucks per year in the next 3-4 years and also launch integrated solutions for the company products by this year-end," said Nalin Mehta, Manging Director of Mahindra Navistar Automotives Limited.
He was speaking to reporters on the sidelines of rolling out the 1,000th Navistar truck in Andhra Pradesh.
Mehta said over 5,000 trucks have been so far produced from MNAL's plant at Chakan in Pune district.
MNAL's market share in the ongoing financial year stood at nine per cent, while it is expected to reach a cumulative 95 per cent in various segments including ambulances, ready-mix concrete vehicles, Mehta added.
