The much talked-about Mahindra Mojo has been spotted once again, this time doing test runs at the Kari Speedway in Coimbatore

Showcased at the 2014 Auto Expo, the Mojo is clearly a much-awaited launch among motorcycle enthusiasts in India.

What makes the Mojo so special are its technical specifications and quirky design. The bike is powered by a 295cc, liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with fuel injection tuned to produce 26PS at 8500rpm and 24Nm at 7000rpm, with a six-speed transmission.

As with most Mahindra two wheelers, the Mojo also comes loaded with features, with top of the line cycle parts like USD front forks, gas charged mono shock, LED pilot lamps and tail lamp, Pirelli Sport Demon tyres and a front petal disc. The part-digital, part analogue instrument panel comes equipped with a shift indicator as well, and the bike also sports a unique one-into-two exhaust system, sporting two end cans on either side of the bike.

But what makes the Mojo even more special is perhaps the ‘most spied motorcycle’ tag in recent years. It’s now almost four years since the Mojo was first showcased, and it’s undergone a few design changes from the first look to the one showcased at the Auto Expo. But it looks like there’s still some time away before Mahindra launches the bike. As of now, test runs are still underway, as is apparent from the latest spy shots acquired by Motoroids from Kari Speedway, Coimbatore.

We sure hope Mahindra launches the Mojo soon. The 250-300cc space has already seen several products in the market, with the likes of the Honda CBR 250R and KTM Duke 390 already positioned comfortably in the market. For Mahindra to make a mark, it will depend on the pricing of the Mojo, to really sway some potential buyers towards it.
