Mahindra introduces utility vehicles in Kenya
Simba Corporation has invested approximately 600 million Shillings Shillings (Rs 3.95 crore) in Xylon Motors to offer customers warranty, parts and after sales services

Mahindra has launched its international range of utility vehicles in Kenya consisting of the XUV500, Scorpio, Pick Up truck range, the Genio Pick-Up and the Maxximo MINI truck. Mahindra has appointed Simba Corporation as the sole dealer for its vehicles throughout Kenya. Simba Corporation will sell and service Mahindra vehicles though dealerships across the nation under the name of Xylon Motors.
Apart from Kenya, Mahindra & Mahindra’s global wing currently sells its vehicles in Europe, South and Central America, Egypt, Australia and South Africa.
In the African continent Mahindra operates across industries such as IT, energy, tractors and of course automobiles. Its joint venture, Mahindra South Africa operates in Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Ghana, Nigeria, Sudan and South Africa.

Mahindra has rightly identified the African continent as a key market and has also sketched plans for introducing new vehicles in the market. The company has also hiked its manufacturing capacity for both passenger and commercial vehicles in the market.
