Toyota has released a teaser image of the updated Toyota Camry that should be due in India sometime next year. The company hasn’t revealed any details on the update yet and most of the teaser is all about the lights. Going by the teaser, expect redesigned headlamps with that kink near the grille which is visible in the teaser image. It will house projector lamps and LED day time running lights. The refreshed Camry will also get a new grille.
The Camry will be revealed at the Moscow Motor Show that begins towards the end of next week. It is a popular sedan is many markets for Toyota, especially in North America. India isn’t top on the priority list for premium cars and so don’t expect Toyota to get the updated Camry here in a hurry. When it does though, expect the same engines and variants to carry forward.
The Camry comes as a petrol automatic and a hybrid in India. The petrol packs in close to 180PS from the 2.5-litre engine and the Hybrid has a slightly lower rating of 160PS. The Toyota flagship sedan though is more about passenger comfort and convenience which it delivers with aplomb. The smooth gearbox and perfectly tuned suspension give an excellent relaxing ride and there’s acres of space on the inside too.
