Lamborghini Huracan LP580-2 launched in India

The Lamborghini Huracan has been the successor to the Gallardo which was launched a year back in India. To make things more exciting Lamborghini has launched the rear-wheel drive version, Huracan LP580-2 in India at Rs 2.99 crore (Ex-showroom, Delhi).

To distinguish from its four-wheel drive counterpart, this new variant from the Italian carmaker comes with new front bumpers for larger air intake, while a new rear diffuser comes in to improve the airflow from the rear. The new Huracan is also equipped with Pirelli PZero tires customised especially for its design.

The powertrain is where the major changes have been made to this model. A detuned 5.2-litre V10 engine churns power of 580 horses with 540Nm of torque. Mated with a Lamborghini Doppia Drizione 7-speed dual clutch automatic transmission, the car is tuned for faster shifts.

Speaking of performance, an electronic power steering, Lamborghini Plattaforma Interziale, a retuned Magneto Rheological suspension and stability control systems have been assembled to assist the rear-wheel drive. The weight of the vehicle goes down by 33 kg from the four-wheel drive. However, it doesn’t enhance the acceleration - 0-100 kmph in 3.4 seconds - which is a marginal difference compared with the LP610-4 figure of 3.2 seconds. The top speed of the LP580-2 touches 320 kmph.

On the inside, the new Huracan gets all the equipment that was installed in the regular one including the Lamborghini personalisation programme Ad Personam. The latest Lamborghini infotainment system comes with a 12.3-inch high resolution TFT instrument panel.
 
The new Lamborghini Huracan LP580-2 will be sold alongside the Huracan and Aventador series currently available to the Indian market.
