The Bienville Legacy is as exclusive a custom motorcycle can get with intricate styling and cutting edge engineering

Bienville Legacy

If you’re in the market for an exclusive set of wheels and feels that the Confederate doesn’t cut the deal and it’s mainstream, well fret not. As now you have an option of buying the Bienville Legacy which doesn’t look similar to any conventional motorcycle. The eccentric styling isn’t surprising as the man behind the Bienville Legacy is JT Nesbitt, who was the erstwhile creative designer at Confederate.

Bienville Legacy detail

According to Nesbitt, the Legacy is an amalgamation of motorcycle with art, and one has to appreciate this fact as the motorcycle has been loaded with intricate details. The Bienville Legacy sports carbon fibre forks similar to the Confederate Wraith but what sets it apart is the carbon fibre swingarm and the stunning bow-type leaf suspension that connects the front and rear end. The bow-like springs has been crafted from composite materials to prevent fatigue as seen on conventional metal designs. Nesbitt also claims that the damping provided on the Bienville Legacy is comparable to any by top-notch mountain bike and they are almost impossible to bottom out and have a virtually infinitely progressive damping.

Bienville Legacy profile

Another interesting bit about the Bienville Legacy is the fact that the architecture of the bike can be easily altered with the use of an Allen Key via which can make the necessary changes in trail and chain tensions. The same can be done for the seat height, ride height and headlight angle. The fuel tank has been crafted from carbon fibre whereas the seats look similar to a horse saddle and the footpegs have been crafted from brass to give it a retro appeal.

Almost all parts on the Bienville Legacy are custom built except for the Motus V4 engine, ISR masters and radial brakes and battery. The carbon fibre wheels have been sourced from BST but the hubs for them have been custom built by Nesbitt.  Powering the Bienville Legacy is a 1,600cc, V4 motor churning out a healthy 187PS of maximum power. But if you thought that the stock powerplant doesn’t satisfy your need for power, well there is a supercharged version of the same motor pushing out an eye-popping 300PS. Each of the Bienville Legacy will be built to the specification of the owner and Nesbitt plans to limit production to just three units. The eccentric designer also plans to take the Bienville Legacy to break three Bonneville land speed records to justify the performance of the bike and his indigenous engineering. No details regarding the bikes pricing has been revealed yet but the Bienville Legacy wouldn’t be affordable by any means of imagination.
