KTM and Kawasaki pricing updated

KTM has increased the pricing for its entire Indian portfolio while Kawasaki India has hiked the prices of the motorcycles assembled by the Japanese bike maker in our two-wheeler market

KTM RC390 and Kawasaki Ninja 300

This is a bit of news which wouldn’t go well with Indian two-wheeler enthusiasts. Prices for the KTM and Kawasaki motorcycles have been revised post the increase of four per cent in excise duty and was applicable from January 2015 onwards. Prices for the entire KTM range has been hiked while the Kawasaki bikes that are assembled in India witness a jump in pricing. The price of the KTM 200 Duke has been increased by Rs 5,000 from the existing Rs 1.33 lakh to Rs 1.38 lakh. The KTM 390 Duke will retail for Rs 1.9 lakh which is a hike of Rs 7,000. The fairing twins of the KTM RC390 and RC200 will be dearer by Rs 8.500 and Rs 6,700 respectively.

The price hike for the Kawasaki India offerings are considerably higher given the fact that they do retail at a premium in our market. The Kawasaki Z250 crosses the Rs 3 lakh figure as it will now retail for Rs 3.11 lakh. The Kawasaki Ninja 300 witnesses a price hike of Rs 14,800 while the Kawasaki ER-6n’s pricing jumps up by Rs 18,000. The Kawasaki Ninja 650 has been priced at Rs 5.37 lakh which is a Rs 20,000 premium over the previous pricing for the sports tourer motorcycle. All the prices above mentioned for both KTM and Kawasaki are ex-showroom Delhi.
