Jaguar Land Rover Vehicles to Feature in James Bond Upcoming Movie Spectre

Product placement in movies is a widely famous concept and has been used internationally by several automakers. Jaguar Land Rover is using this concept to give its cars a larger than life aura by continuing its association with the Bond franchise.  

The 24th James Bond adventure – Spectre will see several Jaguar Land Rover vehicles including the Jaguar C-X75, Range Rover Sport SVR and Land Rover Defender Big Foot, built by Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Operations team, dazzle on the big screen.

The Jaguar C-X75 will feature in a spectacular car chase sequence through Rome alongside the Aston Martin DB10 which will be piloted by James Bond. The C-X75 vehicles have been built in collaboration with Williams Advanced Engineering facility in Oxfordshire, England.

Scenes which feature the Land Rover Defenders and Range Rover Sport SVR have already been shot in Austria. The Land Rover Defender Big Foots is built by Jaguar’s Special Operations division with huge 37-inch diametre off-road tyres to tackle the extreme terrain .

Commenting on the company’s association with the Bond flick, John Edwards, Managing Director of Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations, said, "This is an exciting partnership for Jaguar Land Rover and an opportunity to demonstrate the fantastic capabilities of the Special Operations team.’’

This is not the first time that Jaguar Land Rover will star its vehicles in the Bond movie. In 2012, the rugged Defender 110 Double Cab Pick Up was driven by field agent Eve Moneypenny in the opening sequence of Skyfall.
