Isuzu MU7

Its raining diesel automatic SUVs. Hyundai today introduced the Creta compact SUV in the Indian market and at the same time, Isuzu also announced plans of brining in an automatic variant to the MU7 SUV. Currently, the Isuzu MU7 is on sale in India two variants – base and high, both of which are available in BS III as well as BS IV.

So far the MU7 was only offered with a 5-speed manual transmission. With the demand for automatic diesel SUVs at an all-time high, Isuzu will install an autobox to the MU7.

In terms of looks the MU7’s large chrome grill and the massive proportions make it just the kind of SUV that buyers in India would like. The rear looks a lot more tamed than the front thanks to the large windscreen and the neatly integrated taillights. On the inside, the MU7 comes with three rows of seating with ample of space on each of the rows. Other features include, a DVD monitor and 2 AC vents on the roof, ABS, Keyless entry, a 2 DIN touchscreen infotainment system and more.

The Isuzu MU7 is currently on sale in two variants at a starting price of Rs 21.83 lakh for the base BS IV while the top-end trim costs Rs 23.90 lakh. Expected the automatic variant to be priced around Rs 40,000-50,000 higher.
