Images of Suzuki iK-2 and iM-4 concepts have leaked online ahead of their public debut at the 2015 Geneva Auto Show

Suzuki iK-2 concept

Describing its iK-2 as ‘an ideal compact sized car’ and the iM-4 concept as an ‘iconic Mini 4x4’, Suzuki had teased both these concepts earlier last month. Now, images depicting the Suzuki iK-2 and iM-4 concepts have surfaced on the web ahead of their official debut at the 2015 Geneva Auto Show.

The Suzuki iK-2 concept still remains a mystery as Suzuki hasn’t revealed more details about it yet. The Japanese carmaker states that the iK-2 concept has been developed with an innovative theme of ‘Harmonised Force’. The car will feature an up market design with large radiator grille and sweptback headlamps.

The front fascia of the iK-2 concept is similar to Maruti Suzuki’s upcoming hatch codenamed ‘YRA’ that was spied in India a few months back. Reports also suggest that this car will get new powertrain choice in the form of a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine, in addition to a diesel unit. When it arrives in India, the YRA will lock horns with the Hyundai Elite i20, Volkswagen Polo and Honda Jazz. (Also read: New Maruti YRA premium hatchback to feature AMT).

Suzuki iM-4 concept

The company claims that the iM-4 concept will boast of distinctive styling and will feature new technologies. Suzuki claims that this new concept is based on the theme of ‘Shape the Inspiration’.

The Suzuki iM-4 concept closely resembles Maruti Suzuki YBA that is due to be introduced in India later this year. Once launched, the Maruti Suzuki YBA will lock horns against the Ford EcoSport.

The Geneva Auto Show will kickstart on March 3, 2015. Watch this space out for more.
