Triumph Motorcycles India celebrated the 68th Independence Day by organising a special ride across various cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Ahmedabad & Pune. In total over 150 enthusiastic Triumph owners from across the country participated in the event. According to Triumph Motorcycles, the main purpose of the ride was to commemorate and celebrate the spirit of freedom alongwith improving brotherhood among fellow riders and citizens. The ride was flagged of from eight Triumph dealerships spread across our nation and the RAT’s (Riders association of Triumph) rode across their respective city, stopping at important cultural sites such as Bangalore Palace in Bengaluru, Char Minar in Hyderabad and Shaniwar Wada in Pune.
Speaking about the event, Vimal Sumbly, Managing Director, Triumph Motorcycles India Pvt. Ltd. said, “15th August is the most defining day in the entire history of India! A true Indian is moved by the nationalist fervour that grips the country and loves to join in the celebration. We at Triumph Motorcycles also wanted to celebrate this day and pay our tributes to the gallant freedom fighters. And we saw no better way to express our feelings but to do what we like doing the best, and that is to ride! It was great to see the enthusiasm from our customers and dealers who have effectively made this ride a success. We are proud to say that we rode on a Triumph and we rode on Independence Day! ”
The iconic British motorcycle brand made their debut in the Indian two-wheeler market in December 2013 and currently has 11 motorcycles from its portfolio on sale currently in varying categories like classics, streetbikes, cruisers, adventure and super sports. Triumph Motorcycles currently has eight functional dealerships spread across the country and have plans to open another dealership in Kolkata soon.
