Nissan is not known to offer sporty cars in India, save for the Terrano or the 370Z-which has been phased out now, but it might just change with the introduction of the Kicks

Nissan Kicks Interiors

A few weeks back, Nissan took the wraps off its new Kicks Crossover. The Japanese car maker has now revealed the interior of this new offering. The Kicks' interior is as young looking as its exterior design. The dual-tone dashboard has been designed well with large touchscreen infotainment in the centre and the automatic climate control under it. Right above the screen is sleek AC vents, however, it’s the AC louvers towards the edge of the dash that really impress, (do we see a hint of the C-Class there?). Then there’s the semi-digital instrument cluster that has real-time fuel efficiency, trip metres, odometers and more necessary information. The flat bottom steering wheel looks sport and has a neat touch of brushed aluminium on it.

If pictures are anything to go by, the Nissan Kicks is generous in terms of interior space. The seats look wide enough to be absolutely comfortable and have enough support too. Moreover, it has plenty of storage spaces in the cabin. The interior colour also compliments the contrasting orange roof on the exterior. The Nissan Kicks is 4,295 mm long, 1,760mm wide and 1,590mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 2,610mm, making it comparable to its future rivals namely; the Hyundai Creta and the Renault Duster.

In Brazil, the Kicks will be powered by the 1.6-litre flex-fuel motor, which produces 115PS and 117PS of power when running on petrol and ethanol (as an additive), respectively. However, in India, the Kicks can inherit the 1.5-litre diesel motor from the Terrano. Pegged as the official car for the 2016 Rio Olympics, the Nissan Kicks will soon make it to Indian shores as well.
