Bombardier Recreational Products (BRP) has confirmed the launch of an all-new 2015 version of its three-wheeled motorcycle – the Can-Am Spyder F3 later this month.

The Can-Am Spyder uses a single rear drive wheel and two wheels in front for steering. Compared to earlier models of the Spyder, the 2015 Can-Am Spyder F3 features more aggressive, futuristic bodywork - the front end not unlike a top of the line muscle car.

The F3 is expected to be powered by a liquid cooled in-line triple 1330cc engine which is claimed to put out 116PS at 7250rpm and about 130Nm of torque at 5,000rpm. The vehicle is expected to come kitted out with a six-speed gearbox with electronic clutch control.

In all likelihood, the 2015 Spyder F3 will also come equipped with Can-Am’s Vehilce Stability System, a combination of traction and stability control combined with anti-lock brakes.

So, who buys them? Approximately 20 per cent of the Spyder’s sales are to women and according to reports, about 27 per cent of Spyder owners have never previously owned a motorcycle.
