Like its compact sedan sibling, the Grand i10 Special Edition is available in both diesel and petrol variants and offers added features worth Rs, 55,000 for the petrol variant and Rs. 65,000 for the diesel variant.

The added features include a 6.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, sportier red and black interiors, rear spoiler, blacked out B-Pillar, and body graphics on the sides.

The special edition Grand i10 remains mechanically unchanged. The petrol variant is powered by a four-cylinder 1.2-litre dual VTVT engine which churns out 83PS of max power and 116Nm of peak torque. It has an ARAI-approved fuel efficiency of 18.9kmpl. The diesel variant is powered by a three-cylinder 1.1-litre U2 CRDi unit which puts out 71PS of power along with 160Nm of torque. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission and returns a fuel efficiency of 24kmpl.

Earlier this year, YK Koo, managing director of HMIL, while speaking to a publication said, “2016 is important for us. To celebrate 20 years of our success, we will introduce a special edition of Xcent this April at a competitive price for Indian customers.
