Hyundai's registered yet another milestone in its 15 year history in the Indian four-wheeler market as it rolled out its 5 millionth car

It was a momentous occasion for Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) as it rolled out its 5 millionth car from its Irrungattukottai plant on the outskirts of Chennai. The historic car was Hyundai’s recently launched hatchback, Grand i10 and Bollywood superstar and the company’s brand ambassador Shahrukh Khan was present on the occasion. Hyundai which is now the second largest car manufacturer in the country after Maruti-Suzuki achieved this figure in just 15 years as it started operations in our country in 1998. The Korean based four-wheler manufacturer has invested close to $ 2.7 billion in its manufacturing facility which has production a capacity of 6.8 lakh cars. Also it is the largest four-wheeler exporter in the country with 46 % share in the export market.
