Hyundai Motors India, which completes its twenty years of presence in the Indian auto sector this year, has announced the winners of its ‘20 Years Celebration Offer’. This offer was promoted under the ‘Experience Hyundai’ program. With forty winners from all over India, the offer will lend them a chance to win 20% cash back on the ex-showroom price on their newly purchased car.
Hyundai first laid the foundation of its factory on 6th May back in 1996. However, its commercial operations began in 1998. It was the company’s first manufacturing plant outside of Korea, situated in Sriperumbudur near Chennai. The plant primarily produced the Santro, which gave the Marutis a run for their money then.
On this occasion Hyundai issued a statement to the press, stating, “Hyundai have been a trendsetter from the very beginning by introducing contemporary products based on advanced technology and new design.” The release further added, “On May 6th, 2016 Hyundai celebrated its 20th Foundation Day with a vision of becoming ‘a Great place to work’, ‘becoming the most Beloved and Trusted auto brand in India’ ‘attain Market Leadership position in the Indian automobile market’, and ‘a Modern Premium brand with products and services beyond customer expectations’.”
The manufacturer emphasised that they have been a customer centric company and the offer honors its customer’s commitment towards itself.
The cars covered under the scheme are the Eon, i10, Grand, Elite i20, Xcent, Active i20 and Verna. As mentioned before, the winners will receive 20 per cent cash back on the vehicle’s ex-showroom cost. The only caveat here is that the offer is only valid for vehicles purchased from May 1-31, 2016.
Strangely enough, the Creta, the Santa Fe, and the Elantra are kept out of the offer, maybe because a 20 percent cut-off in their ex-showroom prices could have cost Hyundai dearly. Simply because of their high ex-showroom prices, however, the Creta sees a huge waiting period which saves it from falling into this offer. Or maybe nobody would have bought these cars in the said time period. Reasons can be many. Right?
