Rolls-Royce Suhail Collection unveiled

Inspired by Suhail, one of the brightest constellations in the sky, Rolls-Royce has revealed its first ever bespoke collection that encompasses its entire family of motor cars ranging from the Phantom, Ghost and Wraith models. This collection also celebrates the work of the 10th Century Arabic mathematician, astronomer and physicist Ibn al-Haitham who is believed to be inspired by this brightest constellation.

The Suhail collection cars are dressed in Moonstone Pearl paint scheme to evoke the colour of the stars in the sky. The Suhail star emblem and a Turchese Blue coachline, on the other hand, are inspired by the colour of the night sky when Suhail is visible.

The striking colour scheme is continued inside with the combination of Creme Light leather seats and Turchese Blue accents along with Ash Burr trim, and a bespoke clock and Suhail star emblems.

Discussing the collection, Chief Executive Officer of Rolls-Royce, Torsten Muller-Otvos said, “Ibn al-Haitham was a notable pioneer whose scientific achievements represented a turning point in the history of science. We felt the Suhail constellation was the perfect inspiration for a very special Bespoke collection to celebrate his influence on Eastern and Western science.”

With this collection the luxury carmaker aims to emphasise on the fact that personalisation is at the heart of the brand. In September 2014, nearly every Rolls-Royce Phantom across the globe, 90 per cent of Rolls-Royce Wraith and 80 per cent of Rolls-Royce Ghost models were commissioned by customers with some element of bespoke design.
