Honda Mobilio at Mumbai International Motor Show 2015

At the Mumbai International Motor Show 2015, Honda showcased the latest entry in their product portfolio, the Mobilio and the CR-V. The Japanese car maker marked its entry in the MPV segment last year with the launch of the Mobilio in July last year. Since then the Mobilio has been gradually making its way into the hearts of people.

With two proven engine variants in petrol and diesel, the Mobilio has quite a bit of space even in the third row and it is all thanks to the adjustable middle-row as well. At the heart of things, the Mobilio gets a 1.5-litre engine that makes 120PS and 145Nm in the petrol trim and 100PS and 200Nm in the diesel variant. Since the time of the launch, the Mobilio has been doing pretty well on the sales charts too. Almost 3,000 units of the MPV were sold just in the month January this year.

Along with the Mobilio, Honda also showcased the CR-V. The CR-V comes with two engine options, a 2.0-litre and a 2.4-litre, both petrol units. The 2.0-litre engine is available in just the 2WD option and comes mated to a 6-speed manual as well as a 5-speed automatic transmission. The 2WD variant is also available with the 2.4-litre engine. The top-of-the-line AWD variant sports a 2.4-litre engine which sends power to all the wheels with the help of a 5-speed automatic transmission. Despite being an SUV, the CR-V hasn’t been able to work the kind of magic that Honda would have liked mainly for the fact that it not available in diesel.
