Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest two-wheeler manufacturer, registered its highest-ever dispatch sales for the month of October. The company sold a record 5,29,215 units in October 2012 compared to 5,12,238 units in October 2011. Astonishingly, over 3.5 lakh units were sold in just the first 15 days of the festive period, starting from October 16th.

Hero, which is currently in the No. 2 position in the scooter segment, also registered its highest ever sales for scooters in a single month. The sales figures crossed the 50,000 mark for the first time in the company’s history. Encouraged by the strong sales of its scooters Maestro and Pleasure, the two-wheeler giant has increased its scooter production to over 60,000 units a month. Also read: Hero Maestro: Road Test

With Diwali around the corner, we are prepared for even better retail sales in the month of November.
