Hero Maestro Edge

Hero MotoCorp launched the new Hero Maestro Edge today. The Maestro Edge will carry a sticker price of Rs 49,500 (ex-showroom Delhi) for the LX variant while the VX variant has been priced at Rs 50,700 (ex-showroom Delhi). The Hero Maestro Edge will be officially on sale from October 13. The new scooter is powered by a new 110cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine developed in-house by Hero R&D, which makes 8.4PS of power and 8.3Nm of torque, and paired to a CVT.

The Maestro Edge, targeted primarily at male scooter buyers, come with a list of features adding to the ‘premium-ness’ of this 110cc scooter. Telescopic front forks, 12-inch alloye wheels, tubeless tyres, engine immobilizer, external fuel filler cap, part digital-part analog instrument panel, combined braking system, mobile charging socket, underseat luggage lamp and LED taillight makes the Hero Maestro Edge an attractive proposition for scooter buyers.

Hero Duet

Hero MotoCorp also unveiled the Hero Duet, positioned as a unisex scooter and developed on the same new scooter platform developed by Hero MotoCorp. It is powered by the same engine as the Maestro Edge’s. The Hero Duet will be launched soon in India sometime later in October. The styling has been kept sober to appeal to the masses, but it’s a handsome scooter overall. The Duet will be Hero MotoCorp’s entry-level scooter but does get an all-metal body, part digital-part analog instrument panel, external fuel filler cap, mobile charger, tubeless tyres and telescopic front suspension.

Hero says the new scooter platform will be scalable, so other scooters with more displacement can also be developed on the same platform.
