Mercedes-Benz has inaugurated a new outlet in the city of Mohali, which has now become the largest luxury showroom in the state of Punjab. This new dealership is called Punjab Motors. This facility was inaugurated by Eberhard Kern, Managing Director and CEO of Mercedes-Benz India, and Raj Naresh Singh, Managing Director, Punjab Motors. This is the fourth new showroom that has been opened by the German automaker in 2014 after Bhubaneshwar, Raipur and Bhopal.

Speaking on this occasion, Kern said, “With the inauguration of four new dealerships in four new cities, we have now moved even closer to delight our esteemed customers and to fascinate them with modern luxury. Each of them has state of the art facility, a magnificent and luxurious ambience befitting a luxury car showroom and outstanding service, ensuring that we extend the Mercedes-Benz experience to the automobile aficionados of this region.”

This new dealership sprawls a good 55,000 sq ft and includes a well-structured showroom and workshop. This showroom was created within a span of seven months and has been established with an investment of Rs 16 crore. The new outlet will offer facilities such as drive-in valet service, a luxurious customer lounge, plush Cafe Mercedes along with 11 cars on display.

The accessories and wheel configurator, engaging audio-visual presentation, boutique collection and special play area for children are some of the highlights of this newly inaugurated showroom. The other facilities that can be availed by the customers are finance and insurance solutions, a dedicated boutique for accessories and lifestyle merchandise and drivers lounge. This new facility has 15 productive bays that can service up to 560 cars a month.

Apart from the showroom, the company has also commenced its Grand Tour of the award winning vehicles comprising the A-Class , E-Class , B-Class and GL-Class. This will be a convoy which will comprise of gold foiled cars. These cars will be visiting 23 cities across India in the next 45 days as part of Mercedes-Benz India’s ‘Celebrate Excellence’ campaign.

The German automaker has recorded a growth of 27 per cent in Q1 of 2014. Mercedes-Benz India also grew by 47 per cent in the fiscal year 2013-14 by selling more than 9,500 cars in India. The company launched four new products in the first four months of 2014, and has an exciting product pipeline for the remaining 2014.
