Harman buys Bang & Olufsen

Known infotainment and audio system maker Harman International Industries has acquired Bang & Olufsen Automotive’s car audio business. Most premium cars manufactures like Audi, Aston Martin, BMW and Mercedes-Benz offer Bang & Olufsen (B&O) music and infotainment system as an option in their popular luxury car models. Apart from delivering excellent sound quality, B&O car music systems are renowned for their unique design and craftsmanship. Harman will bring its global marketing, scale and technologies to the Bang & Olufsen and B&O PLAY car audio brands to strengthen its car audio business.

Speaking about this acquisition, Dinesh C. Apart from Bang & Olufsen and the B&O PLAY brands, Harman has various other popular audio brands in its portfolio such as Bowers & Wilkins, Harman Kardon, Infinity, JBL, Lexicon, Mark Levinson and Revel.
