Harley-Davidson unveils three new Dark Custom models for 2016

The Dark Custom models for 2016 will include the Iron 883, the Forty-Eight and the Street 750. Prices of 2016 year models will be announced in September

Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight Dark Custom

Harley-Davidson has unveiled three new Dark Custom models for model year 2016 to be sold in India.

Prices of the updated models will be revealed later in September, which have been given some upgrades and enhancements.

The bikes include the Harley-Davidson Iron 883, the Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight and the Harley-Davidson Street 750. All these are already sold in India and will now get the Dark Custom treatment in the 2016 year models.

“This is another historic year for Harley-Davidson,” said Pallavi Singh, Director Marketing, Harley-Davidson India. “We’re raising the bar on Dark Custom motorcycles with the new Iron 883, Forty-Eight and Street 750, the purest expression of the design. And we’re extending our lead in touring with the return of the Road King and redesign of the popular Heritage Softail Classic.” 

2016 Harley-Davidson Iron 883 Dark Custom

The Iron 883 and the Forty-Eight will get new suspension upgrades as well as Higher Output Twin Cam 103 engines. The Iron 883 will get all-new front and adjustable rear suspension, lighter-weight mag wheels and improved seating which is said to increase comfort and control.

The new Forty-Eight achieves its menacing stance with a burly front tire, new mag wheels and a massive front end with new 49mm forks, and also benefits from improved adjustable rear suspension and seating. The Harley-Davidson Street 750, will now get all-new front and rear braking systems.

All Softail models will get all-new front and rear suspension systems , the Heritage Softail Classic receives refreshed styling for 2016 plus the High Output Twin Cam 103 powertrain, standard electronic cruise control, and a new and improved saddlebag support structure. Harley-Davidson will also bring in the Road King in 2016.
