Stunt Riding Championship to be part of 2014 Bike Festival of India among other events

Aside from a gathering of motorcycling enthusiasts from all over the country, the 2014 Bike Festival of India (BFI) will also host a series of championships. Stealing the limelight among these will surely be the stunt riding championship called XDL. XDL is among the biggest championship for sportbike freestyle in the whole world and has built it from a renegade street activity into a professional sport. Apart from XDL, BFI will also host Dirt Bike Championship and a Drag Race championship. 

BFI, which is the first coordinated, nationwide series of motorcycle events, is going to host the first ever XDL India Championship, with the winner feeding into the FIM/XDL World championship next year. 

Only one of its kind, the XDL Championship is the top level of competitive series for motorcycle stunt riding in the world. With a large fan following not only in Indonesia, Thailand, France, Morocco, Tunisia, Egypt, Libya but also in India, XDL is sure to attract a lot of crowd.

The Bike Festival of India will also host off-track activities like weight lifting, arm wrestling, bench press, push-ups and food festivals. In fact, there will also be an exhibition of various bikes and biking accessories.

As a build up to the main event, BFI also hosted a month long ride across India ‘National Safety Ride’ covering each and every state of India spreading the message of responsible biking and wearing helmets. Scheduled for October 4 and 5 at the Buddh International Circuit, the Bike Festival of India is headlined be Mahendra Singh Dhoni, captain of the Indian national cricket team.
