Harley-Davidson will be increasing prices for the Street, Sportster and Softail range of motorcycles. The new prices will be effective from April 1st, 2016 onwards. While model specific price hike hasn’t been announced yet, the American bikemaker said that pricing will rise by up to Rs 30,000. The reasoning for the increase in prices for Harley-Davidson motorcycles is owing to the impact of the Rupee-Dollar exchange rates. The models that will witness a price jump includes the Harley-Davidson Street 750, Iron 883, Sportster 1200 Custom, Forty-Eight, Fatboy, Breakout and Heritage Softail Classic. Basically, prices of all the Harley-Davidson motrorcycles that are assembled in India will increase.
The American bikemaker has an impressive product portfolio in the Indian market and have the distinction of being the largest selling premium motorcycle brand in the country.
