If you thought the Harley-Davidson Street 750 is only restricted to cruising, well you couldn’t be more wrong. After a successful outing on ice at ESPN’s X Games in Aspen, USA earlier this year, the Harley-Davidson Street 750 is all set to have some fun in the dirt. The American two-wheeler manufacturer announced that it will participate in an exhibition Flat Track race at the X Games in Austin, Texas that is scheduled from June 5 to 8. For the race, Harley has built a custom bike based on the Street 750.

Commenting on their participation, Dino Bernacchi, Director U.S. Marketing, Harley-Davidson Motor Company said, “The action-packed environment at X Games Austin fits perfectly with the attitude and identity of the new Street 750 motorcycle. And, since we gathered input from more than 3,000 customers, riders and dealers in more than 10 countries around the world to create the Street platform, it seems only fitting to let our fans decide if Flat Track racing should become an X Games medal event.”

The modified Harley Street 750 will be piloted in the exhibition race by reigning AMA Pro Flat Track Grand National champion, Brad “the Bullet” Baker. The American bikemaker has also started an initiative by which fans will get an opportunity to decide if Flat Track racing should become a future medal sport at X Games Austin. They can vote for it by tweeting #XGamesFlatTrack. Harley-Davidson isn’t alien to the world of Flat Track racing as it has been part of the sport for almost 100 years.
