Harley-Davidson brings in the new Fat Boy Special to India and ties up with HDFC Bank for additional financing options

One of the most iconic motorcycles to ever roll out of the Harley-Davidson factory, the Fat Boy Special has been officially launched in India and will be available for a whooping Rs. 19.70 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). This latest addition in the product portfolio of Harley-Davidson India extends the company’s 2011 range to a total of fifteen models sold in India. The Fat Boy Special will be imported as a completely built unit and will be on sale across all H-D showrooms in the country. Uber stylish and ultra-cool with a low-rider seat, the Fat Boy Special blends the age-old heritage of the Fat Boy with a modern-day appeal without losing the classic touch. Along with the launch of the new model, Harley-Davidson India also announced its new partnership with HDFC Bank to offer additional and easier financing options to its consumers and dealers in order to further strengthen its Indian operations.

Speaking on the occasion, Anoop Prakash, Managing Director, Harley-Davidson India said, “The past year has been memorable with the opening of new dealerships, Harley Owners Group® rides, new model introductions and commencement of complete knockdown assembly operations to better serve our customers in India.  We are grateful for the tremendous response we have received from our customers and enthusiasts across the country. Commemorating this milestone, we are now launching the Harley-Davidson Fat Boy Special, offering a special take on the motorcycle that embodies Harley-Davidson’s rich heritage. We are delighted to welcome HDFC Bank as a preferred finance partner and are confident that our customers will be well served by the bank’s pan-India presence and competitive rates. This arrangement will help more motorcycle enthusiasts realize their dream of joining the Harley-Davidson community”, he further added.
