The perfect weather, beautiful roads and a Harley-Davidson to boot and that's not all. We head to the famed Sulafest to tell you what all the fuss is about!

Expressing your joy to the world these days is an extremely easy affair. With a variety of networking mediums out there all its takes is a simple status update to tell your near and dear one’s what you are upto or going to be upto. So when my status involved words like ride, open roads and a Harley-Davidson, it attracted like a million hits with everyone I knew having something to say about it. The strong draw there as you might have guessed was pretty much the big American motorcycle that I had mentioned. That’s pretty much the kind of attention a Harley-Davidson draws.

For Harley-Davidson, not just in India but all over the world, it’s the unique experience and the biking brotherhood that drives the brand. As a result group riding is a very strong part of the Harley-Davidson culture. One of Harley’s most popular groups is the H.O.G or Harleys Owners Group. Now H.O.G for those who didn’t know is the world’s largest and most successful factory-sponsored owners club with a membership of 1.3 million Harley-Davidson owners in over 120 countries. This group of Harley-Davidson enthusiasts, ride around the world on their machines, absorbing the local environ and culture as they go along.  I not only got be a part of this group for a couple of days but also got the opportunity to put an Iron 883 through its paces.

The destination was the famed Sula Wine Festival at Nashik. While Sula is already known for its famous wines, the festival serves as the icing on the cake thanks to the amazing music it dishes out. Meeting point was the Harley-Davidson showroom in Bandra, Mumbai where the horde of machines had accumulated. My Iron 883 looked mean with its low stance and matt black finish as I swung a leg over. As we lined up, 32 Harleys fired up together. The roar of so many Vee-twins together echoed throughout Bandra in the wee hours of the morning as we headed out towards our destination.
