Aston Martin has finally taken the wraps off the much awaited DB11 at the 2016 Geneva Motor Show, and boy does it look stunning!

Aston Martin DB11

The resurgence of the Aston Martin brand commenced as they unveiled the all-new DB11 as part of its Second Century Plan. About to replace the aging DB9, the DB11 is the first car to be based on the car maker’s all-new platform. Although this is the official debut of the car for the press and public, it isn’t the first time you’d have seen the car. Some official images of the Aston Martin DB11 had surfaced earlier this week.

As with all Aston Martins, the DB11 takes certain design cues from its predecessor and improves upon them resulting in a stunning looking offering. The DB11 gains it inspiration from the DB10 concept. Up front the DB11 gets a wide aggressive stance thanks to the massive front grille and the LED Headlights. The deep ridges on the bonnet give the DB11 a muscular personality. At the back it gets a familiar Aston light clusters have been redesigned each end of the subtle spoiler.

On the inside, the Aston Martin DB11 gets all-new seats that are pretty well bolstered. They are now thinner which help freeing up some space at the back, however, there is still just enough room to seat young kids. The Aston Martin DB11 gets a oval shaped centre console with a 12-inch TFT screen with a rotary controller for the COMAND infotainment system.

Under the hood the DB11 comes with a 5.2-litre V12 biturbo unit that punches 600 horses and 700Nm of torque. These figures allow the DB11 to touch the 100kmph marker from standstill in just 3.9 seconds and attain maximum speed of 321kmph. The new engine comes mated to a ZF sourced eight-speed automatic transmission and a mechanical limited slip differential.

The old Astons used to have the name of the engine builders engraved upon it. The DB11 will revive the tradition with Andy Palmer, CEO of Aston Martin signing off each of the cars produced.
