Chevrolet Enjoy

General Motors currently has a product range of eight vehicles ranging from the Spark to the Trailblazer that are sold under the Chevrolet banner in India. Sources close to the manufacturer have confirmed that Chevrolet will be discontinuing the Enjoy MPV from this month. This comes in line with the cancellation of plans to introduce the Chevrolet Spin that was showcased at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo in February.

Chevrolet decided to discontinue the Enjoy mainly due to the drop in sales of the model. With the booming trend of compact SUVs, the MPV segment has taken a backseat.

The Chevrolet Enjoy was introduced in the Indian MPV market in 2013 and was offered with both petrol and diesel engine options. The petrol variant is powered by a 1.4-litre four-cylinder motor that produces 100PS of power and 131Nm of peak torque. The diesel is equipped with a 1.3-litre four-pot engine that churns out 75PS of power and 172Nm of peak torque. Both the variants come mated to a five-speed manual gearbox.

Although, there has been no confirmation yet, Chevrolet is also likely to replace its Sail sedan with the Essentia compact sedan. Also, the current Beat which is being sold in the market will soon receive an update, while a crossover version of the hatchback called the Beat Activ is also in the works. The facelifted Beat is expected to be introduced by March 2017, while its crossover sibling could make it to the market by 2018.
