McLaren will debut its track-focused McLaren 650S Sprint at the 2014 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance alongside the McLaren P1 GTR

The British car marque has confirmed that its latest model the McLaren 650S Sprint will make its global debut at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance annual automotive charitable event in Pebble Beach, California. Described as the stripped-out racer the McLaren 650S Sprint will sit besides three other McLaren models including the McLaren P1 GTR.

The track-focused 650S Sprint is based on the McLaren 650S Coupe and features a GT3 inspired exterior, with a prominent rear wing, a ventilated hood and revised air intakes. This model also gets an improved Brake Steer system, track-tuned suspension and 19-inch centre-locking racing wheels with Pirelli tyres along with an onboard air jacking system for quick tyre changes.

Being a track-focused model the interior of the car has been stripped of all non –essential equipments to keep its weight low. Other modifications to the racer include a FIA approved roll cage, lightweight carbon-fibre racing seats with six point harness, and a fire extinguisher.

A 3.8-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine is carried over from the standard model to this stripped-out racer. The British carmaker has not released any performance specifications as of now, but this standard engine develops a good 650PS of power and a staggering 678Nm of torque. This lets the car to accelerate from 0-100kmph in 3.0 seconds with a top-speed of 333kmph.

The McLaren 650S Sprint is priced approximately at Rs 2.03 crore (exclusive of taxes and duties).
