As kids, we have all had the obsession to build funky objects with Lego bricks. Ford takes their childhood fascination a step further to build their Explorer from Lego bricks

5006mm long, 2291mm long and 1788mm in height, those were the dimensions of the Ford Explorer built by the American car manufacturer with the help of Lego bricks, in short, a full-size replica of the Ford Explorer.

2500 hours of blood, sweat and tears were shed by 22 designers in building the 1200 kg car on a 350kg aluminum platform with the help of 3,80,000 individual bricks. Ford revealed the Lego Explorer at their Chicago assembly plant before shipping the unique scale model to Lego’s theme park on the outskirts of Orlando, Florida.

The Explorer will serve as an attraction at Legoland and will welcome visitors to the Ford Driving School for children, which teaches kids to drive by getting behind the wheel of their own scale vehicle at a maximum speed of nearly 5km/h.
