Face-lifted A-star makes its debut at the Chengdu Auto Show, China. Changes have been made to its exterior and minor interior styling

The tail lamps have the same dimensions so the body panels’ shape needs no alteration. The rearrangement places the indicator and reverse light in a boomerang shape at the centre of the tail lamp cluster. This means that there are two brake lights, one of which is likely to come on with the parking lights while the other serves as an additional brake light.

On the inside, the dashboard remains the same except for red inserts around the HVAC controls, above the glovebox and behind the steering wheel. Incidentally, Maruti Suzuki added some neat upgrades  to its entry level hatchback earlier this year. Considering the fact that the current model is exported from India as the Suzuki Alto and Nissan Pixo, don't be surprised if this face-lifted version makes it to the Indian showrooms sometime in the near future.

A-Star Automatic is on road 4.5 lakhs and Ritz automatic is 6.5 lakhs there is 2 lakhs difference in the price ..if u want to save 2 lakhs go for A Star which u spend on fuel for 3 years ..if ur taller and need more headroom and legroom go for ritz automatic. Think smart

The older ( currently available) version looks much better. The roundness of the front lights gives it a classic appeal - and makes it stand out from other hatchbacks. Sad that Maruti does not take the opinion of its customers but relies on a few designers.

Whoever says this is an UPGRADE ... look at the photo again.... this is more of a i10 derivative.. the older one still looks better... the problem is the space in the cabin and the exorbitant pricing from maruti for a car of this size.
