Ducati unveils the next generation XDiavel and its higher-spec sibling the XDiavel S at EICMA 2015

Ducati XDiavel

What is black? It’s elegant, rough, explicit, mysterious, gentle and brutal. Black is the new Ducati XDiavel. Ducati has taken the wraps off the latest iteration of its sport cruiser at EICMA 2015. On initial observation the New Ducati XDiavel and the XDiavel S have immense gravity to attract attention with their sheer presence.

The trellis frame has been chopped to show the muscle of the new XDiavel. Also it can be observed the absence of hoses which means the cooling system has been routed internally to give it un-clustered look. The exhaust pipes now hides behind the muscle of the engine. The radiator has been upsized to keep the engine of the XDiavel at its optimum operating temperature and the shrouds on the sides help to direct the air towards it. The headlight on the XDiavel has been redesigned to light the roads with full LED optical arrangement. The new XDiavel get new multi spoke alloys which up’s the overall appeal of the cruiser. Aside from that the XDiavel S also comes equipped an inverted u-shaped DRL.

Moving on to the heart of things we can immediately notice the beautiful yet powerful view of the exposed engine powering the XDiavel. The engine summoned to power the New XDiavel is a 1,262cc mill with variable valve timing that makes 158PS of power and 128.9Nm of torque. The 'Ducati Power Launch' allows the Diavel to be quick off the line too.

Shifting our attention to the drive, XDiavel is the first Ducati to use final belt drive in their motorcycles. The system has been developed for XDiavel in order to guarantee reliable and safe power transmission. The XDiavel is one of the many motorcycles unveiled by Ducati. The Italian motorcycle manufacturer also showcased the entry level Scrambler Sixty2, Panigale 959, the Hypermotard 939 and more at EICMA 2015.
